Keralam Chief Minister V D Satheesan on Saturday hailed the selflessness of a 30-year-old soldier from Kollam whose organ donation helped give a new lease of life to seven people.

In a post on 'X', Satheesan said the soldier, who had served the nation in Himachal Pradesh, donated his organs through the Kerala State Organ and Tissue Transplant Organisation (K-SOTTO) after his death.
He also commended the Kerala Police for swiftly facilitating a green corridor from Thiruvananthapuram to Thiruvalla to ensure timely transportation of the organs for transplantation.
K-SOTTO is the state government's apex organisation for regulating, coordinating and supervising human organ and tissue donation and transplantation activities in Keralam.
