Parliament session LIVE updates: Both Houses adjourned till 11 am Tuesday

Both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha have been adjourned till 11 am on Tuesday.

Congress MP Jairam Ramesh took to Twitter to attack BJP led-centre after both Houses were adjourned on Monday. “For the third consecutive day, the opposition in Parliament was not allowed to raise the demand of JPC regarding the Adani scam. Both the houses were adjourned till 2:00 pm. It is clear that the Modi government is running away,” he wrote.

Both houses, Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha adjourned till 2pm amid ruckus over Adani issue.

Proceedings of both Houses, Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha for the budget session have resumed on Monday. 

Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha and Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge about discussing Adani issue said, "We demand discussion on our notices (in Parliament), we're ready for a detailed discussion. We want it to be taken up first. Ready to speak on President's Address and we give it its due importance. But first priority is that PM Modi give a reply on this issue," ANI quoted. 

Opposition MPs gather in protest at the Gandhi statue on Parliament premises in Delhi, demanding a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) or Supreme Court-monitored probe into Adani Group issue.

Opposition parties have decided that they will ask for adjournment motion in both Houses of Parliament, no business other than Adani scam, ANI reported citing sources.

Leader of Congress in Lok Sabha, AR Chowdhury referring to Opposition's strategy for Parliament over Adani issue said, "We will have a meeting now. Entire Opposition will come together, discussion will be done and decision will be made. It's not an issue of Congress only, but that of India's common people," ANI quoted. Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha and Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge also said that the issue will be raised in Parliament today.

TRS (BRS) MP K Keshava Rao and gives CPI MP Binoy Viswam on Monday morning gave suspension of Business Notice in Rajya Sabha under rule 267 to discuss Adani group's crisis saying "huge public money belonging to the common people of India at serious risk of being wiped out in the unfolding crisis."

Congress MP Pramod Tiwari gave suspension of Business Notice in Rajya Sabha under rule 267, to discuss "the issue of frauds in investment by LIC, SBI. Public Sector Banks and ther Financial Institutions losing market value, endangering the hard-earned savings of crores of Indians."

Congress party has called a meeting of opposition outfits on Monday morning as the budget session of the Parliament is resuming.
