On Monday, Modi will witness the initiation of core loading of the country's indigenous Prototype Fast Breeder Reactor (PFBR) at Kalpakkam, near Chennai. This PFBR has been developed by Bharatiya Nabhikiya Vidyut Nigam Limited (BHAVINI).

"The reactor core consists of control subassemblies, blanket subassemblies and fuel subassemblies. The core loading activity consists of loading of reactor control subassemblies, followed by the blanket subassemblies and the Fuel sub-assemblies which will generate power," a PIB release said.

Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan and Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy will participate in the official programme at Adilabad. After a long time, a CM of Telangana will be receiving PM Modi and participating in the official programme. With an investment of ₹8,007 Crores, this project utilizes Ultra-Supercritical Technology, ensuring optimal power generation efficiency while significantly reducing carbon dioxide emissions. The project will supply 85 percent of power to Telangana and will have the highest power generation efficiency among all power stations of NTPC in India, of approximately 42 percent.

The major focus of the projects will be the power sector.

He will dedicate NTPC's 800 MW (Unit-2) to the Telangana Super Thermal Power Project in Peddapalli, Telangana.

Based on ultra-supercritical technology, the project will supply 85 per cent power to Telangana and will have the highest power generation efficiency of approximately 42 per cent among all power stations of NTPC in India. The foundation stone of the project was also laid by the Prime Minister.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said that the development works that will be inaugurated during his upcoming visit to five states- Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Odisha, West Bengal and Bihar--cover a wide range of sectors and will transform several lives.

A five-tier security arrangement has been made for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Chennai on March 4, police said on Sunday.

As many as 15,000 police personnel, including officers, have been deployed. The use of drones (unmanned aerial vehicles) has been prohibited during the time of PM's visit, a city police statement said.
