On Sunday, he failed to get going when the need of the hour was to up the run rate and help the team post a strong total.

Although Virat Kohli has defended him, saying that he is still good enough and is striking the ball well, the fact that his birthday was celebrated with much fanfare, with friends flying in to Jamaica from India for the occasion, lent substance to speculations that he may not continue for long.

The arrival of his manager-cum-friend Arun Pandey, and others especially for this occasion, left everyone intrigued. The team clicked pictures with him, almost as if it is going to be his last birthday with him.
