A police spokesman said the five personnel sustained injuries when a detonator exploded during the process of defusing the ammunition recovered from the two Fidayeen (suicide attackers) on March 13 after the militant attack in Bemina.

Two militants were killed in the attack that left five CRPF personnel dead. The police claimed that these two militants were carrying weapons in cricket kit bags during the attack.

The incident took place inside the Parimpora Police station, which sparked panic in the area. All the five injured were admitted to a hospital where their condition is said to be stable.
