Pakistan, who led 2-1 at the break, found their scorers in Shakeel Abbasi (15th minute), Mohammad Saqlain (23rd), Akhtar Ali (46th) and Waqas Sharif (64th) while Kang Seong Jung (42nd) was the lone scorer for Korea.

The Pakistanis, who thus avenged their World Cup qualifying tournament defeat, suffered a setback with a knee injury to their star forward Mudassar Ali Khan following a collision with Korean goalkeeper.

Earlier, Argentina bounced back from 0-2 down to post a 3-2 win against Malaysia and finish seventh. The decision came in the extra-time that was applied to break a 2-2 deadlock.

Malaysia surged ahead on goals by Chua Boon Huat (20th) and Muhammad Razie (27th), but Argentina came up with a strong response through Matias Paredes (31st), Mario Almada (49th) and Innocent Argento (79th).
