Basant Panchami celebrated

Bal Bharti Public School, Ludhiana, organised Basant Utsav Carnival to mark the festival of Basant Panchami on school premises, reports HT Correspondent.

Bal Bharti Public School, Ludhiana, organised Basant Utsav Carnival to mark the festival of Basant Panchami on school premises. The students and faculty members celebrated the festival with great enthusiasm and zeal. The students and teachers attired in yellow also relished yellow sweet rice on the occasion.

The school gave a festive look with yellow flowers and balloons. Various competitions like fresh flower arrangement, kite flying, instant nutritious recipe and healthy baby contest were organised on the occasion.

Earlier in the morning, Chief Parliamentary Secretary Harish Rai Dhanda inaugurated the function. The Bal Bhartians also presented a colourful cultural programme during which they recited beautiful poems and songs related to Basant and danced on the beats of the Punjabi numbers.

School principal Punam Dogra explained the importance of Basant Panchami to the students.
