A local BSP leader was found murdered in the Loni town area here, police said today.

A local BSP leader was found murdered in the Loni town area in Ghaziabad, police said on Friday.

Sachin Chaudhary (35), a municipal councillor, was shot dead by unknown persons last night, they said.

His bullet-riddled body was found locked inside a car, they said.

Chaudhary received a call from someone around 7:30pm and he immediately left his house to meet the caller. We received the information about his murder at around 9pm, Ghaziabad SP JK Shahi said.

"The body has been sent for post mortem. Investigations are on although it seems a matter of rivalry," he added.
