CHIEF MINISTER Shivraj Singh Chouhan said the colleges would be equipped with more facilities to improve the quality of higher education.
Adequate funds would be provided for this. Shivraj Singh was addressing the concluding ceremony of the nine-day Karnamanika Utsava and prize distribution ceremony at MLB Girls College here today.
The CM said higher educational institutions should also impart values to students and instill a sense of patriotism in them apart from imparting knowledge. He said the purpose of education is not merely to earn livelihood. He said the narrow outlook is not in the interest of the nation.

He gave assurance to take steps for upgrading of laboratory, canteen and community hall. Minister of State for Higher Education Tukoji Rao Panwar said all steps would be taken to improve the standard of higher education and all measures would be taken to ensure benefits of specialised courses to the students. MLA Uma Shankar Gupta also spoke.
College Principal Dr Pushpa Tyagi gave a welcome speech and threw light on the academic activities. President of Public Participation Committee of the college Hemlata Kothari was also present.
