Police has suspended and arrested a constable for allegedly eve-teasing and sexually assaulting a teenager in Udhampur district.

Police has suspended and arrested a constable for allegedly eve-teasing and sexually assaulting a teenager in Udhampur district.
Police Constable Shyam Lal intercepted a 17-year old girl at Siyal Salan area of Udhampur city last night, when she was going back to her home, Police officials said.
According to the officials, Lal misbehaved, teased and sexually assaulted the girl who raised a cry for help, attracting a crowd in the area.
They caught hold of cop and beat him, they said adding he was later handed over to police.
Confirming the incident, SSP, Udhampur, Surinder Gupta said that Lal has been arrested and a case has been registered against him.
He has also been suspended, Gupta added.
