Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Madhya Pradesh, DS Mathur returned from Delhi after a meeting in the Election Commission convened to discuss security scenario for the polling and counting days and assessment of troop requirement.

While the projected figures have been given, the final decision is yet to be taken. Sources in the CEO office informed that the districts have yet to send final list of sensitive booths in their respective constituencies.
“Only when the issue of number of sensitive booths is settled and requirement assessed that the proposal for exact requirement of Central paramilitary forces will be sent to the EC,” CEO office sources said.
