Feisty Sourav bodes well for the Pune Warriors

Dada is a fierce competitor and his match-winning performance for the Pune Warriors will lift the side to greater heights. His contribution was one part of what was a good game of cricket for the fans at Kotla. Just imagine, 360 runs were scored by both the teams in 40 overs. Not a bad result!
Everybody loves Sourav and his part in a winning effort is always lauded by fans. We had to keep going from the first ball because a score of 190 is always tough to chase. Viru and I got together at a crucial time, but when I got out it became difficult. We had decided that one of us will have to bat till the end.
We lost a couple of quick wickets and the asking rate kept climbing. In the end, we did a pretty decent job of getting close. To get to 170 was not bad.
We did not play as well as we could have. For Pune, Jesse Ryder batted nicely, but we also did not bowl well. Hopefully, in the return clash we will do better. It is exciting to play at a new ground. I have seen images and it looks a beautiful ground here at Pune. We trained here on Monday afternoon and the game on Tuesday offers us an opportunity to improve our performance.
Future with England
I head home on May 2 to be with England as we prepare for the Test series against West Indies. My future lies with England and I feel honoured to play Test cricket. But before that, I am collecting as many memories as possible from this IPL journey. The most memorable has to be my hundred the other day.
