Former Pakistan Foreign Minister Agha Shahi died on Wednesday after a protracted illness.

Shahi served as Pakistan's Foreign Minister from 1977 to 1982.
He was an "eminent international personality whose long and dedicated services to defend and promote the cause of Pakistan will be long remembered and respected by the people of Pakistan," a condolence message from Pakistan Foreign Ministry said.
"He was a great internationalist who espoused and promoted the interests of peace and human rights in the world," it said.
Shahi was also former Foreign Secretary of the country before taking over as Foreign Minister.
