Acclaimed Hong Kong director Wong Kar-wai has cast British actor Jude Law and Oscar-winner Rachel Weisz in his first English-language movie, reports said Wednesday.

Grammy-winning jazz singer Norah Jones will make her acting debut when the film begins shooting in June this year, he was quoted as saying by Apple Daily and the Oriental Daily News.

Wong, of 2046 and In the Mood for Love, said the film tells a love story that takes place on the roads from New York to California.

Wong also said his another project, The Lady from Shanghai to be led by Hollywood star Nicole Kidman, has been postponed until early next year because the actress was busy filming Gone with the Wind with Russell Crowe, Apple Daily reported.
