Middle order batsman Yuvraj Singh will join the Punjab Ranji Trophy squad for the semi-final against Mumbai after being released from the Indian team on Thursday.

Yuvraj, who was not included in the team for the ongoing second Test against Pakistan in Kolkata, will be replaced by Mohammad Kaif, BCCI joint secretary Gautam Dasgupta said.

Punjab take on Mumbai at the Wankhede Stadium in the five-day semi-final from Thursday.

Railways face Hyderabad at home in the other semi-final in Delhi.
