Rape convicts awarded life imprisonment in Bihar

Three accused have been sentenced igorous life imprisonment by a fast track court in Bihar's Bhojpur district.

Three persons have been sentenced rigorous life imprisonment by a fast track court in Bihar's Bhojpur district in a gangrape case.

Those sentenced by the court were Vakil Mahto, Nalish Mahto and Seth Mahto. The incident had occurred at Ibrahimpur village under Piro police station of the district on January 26, 2004.

The court, however, acquitted Sanjay Mahto, another accussed in the case for lack of evidence on Monday.
