Preliminary reports suggest a bus carrying more than two dozen students from Ganderbal in north-east was on an excursion when it hit a road divider on Foreshore road in Srinagar near Dal lake. Apparently, the driver list control of the bus.

There is no official statement on how many sustained injuries in the accident but eyewitnesses put the number of injured at around eight. They have been shifted to nearby hospital. More details are awaited.
