Two Cong workers killed, one injured in clash

Two Congress workers were killed in Bangalore by fellow workers during inauguration of an election office.

Two Congress workers were killed and one person suffered stab wounds here on Tuesday night when they were attacked with swords and knives during inauguration of an election office, police said.

Police said the victims and the attackers, all Congress supporters, had an argument when the election office of Congress candidate for Bangalore South Lok Sabha constituency M Krishnappa, a real estate developer, was being inaugurated, before it took a gruesome turn.

According to Police, Altaf and two others were attacked with swords and knives by the assailants with whom they had previous enmity. Altaf escaped with wounds but the other two received serious stab injuries and died in a hospital later.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Sharatchandra blamed past rivalry as the cause of the clash.
