The first FIR was registered with Banmankhi police station for violating the code by leading a motorcycle procession without the permission of the Election Commission or the local administration, official sources said.
It was registered on the basis of a report by Banmankhi sub-divisional magistrate Keshav Kumar Singh.
Another FIR was recorded with Kodha police station on identical charge.
Pappu’s mother Shanti Priya is in the fray for the Purnia seat as a Congress-backed independent.
His wife Ranjeet Ranjan is fighting elections from the neighbouring Supaul constituency on Congress ticket.
