MP: cop suspended for obscene WhatsApp texts

Authorities suspended an assistant sub-inspector in Neemuch district on Wednesday evening for allegedly posting indecent messages on a WhatsApp group.

Authorities suspended an assistant sub-inspector in Neemuch district on Wednesday evening for allegedly posting indecent messages on a WhatsApp group.

Sources said ASI Mangilal Panwar — posted at Kotwali police station – uploaded four images on group called Ahir Press Group in Neemuch.

As soon as Panwar posted the images on the group, other members of the group start criticising his act. Neemuch superintendent of police Manoj Kumar Singh and Mandsaur superintendent of police Manoj Sharma, who were also member of same group, noticed Panwar’s act.

“I have already suspended him and will hand over his suspension orders in written form on Thursday,” Singh said.

Panwar apologised for his act on the group and claimed it

was posted on the platform by mistake as he was trying to delete pictures from his mobile phone. Fearing police wrath, the group admin immediately deleted the group.
