“The struggle is real in helping our kids understand how easy they have it now days,” - that’s what a post on Facebook says. It showcases a conversation between a mother and her son about life before the Internet. The conversation, especially the son’s reaction to what his mother tells him, has made this post go viral.

The screenshots from the mother-son duo’s chat begins with the boy asking, “How did any of college work before email? Like what did you do? If a class were cancelled, or there was a mistake on the homework.”

The mother simply replies that one had to walk over to the classroom and there would be a note on the door detailing the changes. The son, still confused, continues to ask more questions.

He wonders how students would find out about college courses. The mum promptly says that those details would be posted on bulletin boards.

“I don’t even know what that is,” he replies, further asking: “How would you reply if it was on a bulletin? What if they wanted to link something for more details? It just seems so crazy to me.”

The conversation goes on and we’ll just let you read their entire chat to enjoy it to the fullest.

The entertaining post has won a ton of love on Facebook since it was shared on September 20. The chat has collected over 25,000 shares and more than 11,000 reactions - and still counting.

“We had to call a... LANDLINE! And a HUMAN would answer! And we had to SPEAK to them!” says a Facebook user. “This is the funniest thing ever! I have two teenagers… we are all doomed,” says another. “So millennial,” says a third.

Back in January, a video of two teens getting completely baffled when asked to dial a number on a rotary phone went crazy viral.
