A three-day-long mega yoga camp, by Baba Ramdev, began in Kota on Tuesday, where thousands performed yoga.

The camp, organised for the state-level International Yoga Day celebrations, is being held at the Rajasthan Armed Constabulary (RAC) parade ground in Kota City. It’s being held from 5am to 7.30 am.

A large number of men and women, including government employees, participated in the camp.

Later, while speaking to the media, Baba Ramdev said, “A man who performs yoga can never give it up. Yoga not only keeps the body healthy, but also makes a person confident.”

“Yoga also helps in keeping people away from addiction, including liquor,” said Ramdev.

Agriculture minister Prabhulal Saini said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken yoga to the world and now June 21 is being celebrated as International Yoga Day.

“Yoga keeps the mind and body healthy, so everyone should do yoga,” said Saini.

The camp will conclude on June 21 and is expected to make a record with the participation of two lakh people. Coaching students, government employees and common people along with public representatives will perform yoga at the event.

Many public representatives, including agriculture minister Prabhulal Saini, Kota MP Om Birla were present at the RAC grounds on Tuesday. Chief minister Vasundhara Raje will join the yoga camp on June 21.
