Ex-Rajasthan minister Babulal Nagar’s wife had complained of ill treatment

In her complaint to the Mahila Salah Evam Suraksha Kendra then, Sunita had alleged that she had been living since 1988 with Nagar, who was already married and had two children from his first wife.

She complained that on June 29, 2003, Nagar went out of the house on the pretext of attending a Congress meeting but instead went to meet a woman, with whom Sunita allegedly caught him.

Nagar beat her up at his official residence and threatened to send her to a mental hospital, she said in her complaint, of which HT has a copy. He also forced her to consume sleeping pills.She complained the next day, too. Nagar had, however, denied the charges.
