Could I be more vaccinated? Matthew Perry surprises fans with Chandler Bing style FRIENDS merch
While we scramble in excitement for the airing of Friends: The Reunion special, Matthew Perry has gone ahead and given the sitcom's fans something else to look forward to.... limited-edition merchandise inspired by his iconic character Chandler Bing and his world famous sarcasm.
Matthew Perry's character on FRIENDS was one of the most relatable on the show, with his quick wit, constant sarcasm and perpetual scowl, we may not have known it back then, but he was the embodiment of how most people feel in their day to day lives. His catchphrase, "Could so-and-so be more so-and-so?", quickly became iconic and fans of the show continue to often quote the beloved Chandler who immortalised the line. And with the Friends: The Reunion special just around the corner, the much-loved sitcom's star Matthew Parry has released a line of limited-edition merchandise inspired by his iconic character Chandler Bing and his sarcastic quips.

The 51-year-old actor announced the news on Thursday via an Instagram post in which he can be seen sitting in a chair wearing a T-shirt that is a total must-have, it read, "Could I be more me?" He shared that the limited edition collection, including T-shirts, sweatshirts, and even items for babies and pets, will only be available for three weeks. The caption read, "Could I BE More ME? I'm releasing a new limited edition merchandise collection only available for three weeks. Get yours in the link in my bio so people will know just how 'you' you are."
The price of the merchandise range from $14.99 (approximately ₹1,100) for a bandana that reads, "Could I be any more of a dog?" to $44.99 (approximately ₹3,300) for the "Could I be more me?" hoodie. The designs mostly feature takes on Chandler's signature catchphrase written in the classic 'Friends' font.
As per Page Six, a few pieces nod to the character's fondness for baths, while others are printed with the definition of sarcasm, which as we all have emulated through the years, is Chandler's preferred method of communication.
Meanwhile, a baby onesie reads, "I'll talk to you about it later," while another T-shirt asks a very relevant question given the coronavirus pandemic, saying, "Could I be any more vaccinated?"
David Beckham who has previously been spotted (and posted by Matthew Perry on his Instagram) wearing a FRIENDS themed T-shirt which featured a scene from the show commented on the Instagram post saying, "I need one."
Matthew had shared David's photograph in the T-shirt and jokingly captioned the post, "This guy has really good taste. Whoever that is."
The announcement about the merchandise comes on the same day as a new trailer for the highly anticipated Friends reunion released, in which Perry can be seen - in a very un-Chandler Bing move. In the trailer, Perry is getting emotional and being comforted by Jennifer Aniston.
As reported by Page Six, the reunion, which was taped in April, is set to premiere on HBO Max on May 29. Matthew Perry, Jennifer Aniston and the rest of the gang including David Schwimmer, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, and Lisa Kudrow, are all returning. David Beckham, Justin Bieber, and Reese Witherspoon are slated to guest star, with James Corden set to host.
Earlier Matthew Perry had also released a slew of FRIENDS related merchandise, and the proceeds from the limited edition collection were donated to the World Health Organisation's Covid relief efforts. Matthew shared a picture of himself wearing the said shirt and jokingly holding a banana as a phone, as he captioned, "What is this, a limited edition t-shirt for charity? For two weeks only, I'm releasing an apparel collection! Proceeds will support the World Health Organization's COVID 19 relief efforts."
