EC files FIRs against Rajnath, Tandon

BJP president and a senior party leader faced the wrath of UP chief electoral officer as he filed an FIR against them.

The Election Commission lodged FIRs against BJP president Rajnath Singh and senior party leader Lalji Tandon on Friday in connection with the production of a controversial CD attacking Muslims.

The FIRs were filed at Hazratganj police station against Singh and Tandon by UP chief electoral officer A K Bishnoi, revealed sources.

The FIRs were filed under different sections of Indian Penal Code and Representation of People's Act
