Fire breaks out in closed shop in Mumbai’s western suburb of Borivli

A small fire broke out in a closed shop in Blue Rose industrial estate in suburban Borivli around 8.15am on Thursday. No injuries have been reported, and the fire has been brought under control, officials said.

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation’s (BMC) disaster management team said it received a level 2 (moderate) fire alert around 8.25am. Four fire engines and water tankers were rushed to the spot.

The cause of fire is yet to be ascertained.
