Mumbaiites could board a train from Oshiwara this Sunday

After almost a decade, Mumbai is set to get a new suburban station on its rail network. Western Railway commuters will be able to board a slow train from the newly built Oshiwara station on November 27. Railway minister Suresh Prabhu is likely to inaugurate the station. Demonetisation: After meeting Uddhav, traders meet CM Fadnavis

A day after meeting Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray, retail traders on Tuesday met chief minister Devendra Fadnavis, and sought various tax incentives to bring relief to the community’s suffering due to the scrapping of old notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1000. 71-year-old man dies in accident on Mumbai-Pune Expressway

A 71-year-old man died after his stationary trailer was hit by a truck on Mumbai-Pune Expressway on Tuesday morning. The accident took place near Temborli village, around 3km from Panvel city. According to the police, Shiddheshwar Nikam was driving the trailer from Pune to Kalamboli in Navi Mumbai around 2.30 am. Sena calls Sharad Pawar’s criticism of demonetisation ‘two-faced’

The Shiv Sena slammed Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar, calling him two-faced for criticising the Narendra Modi-led government’s demonetisation move in one place while sharing stage with the prime minister at another. In an editorial in the party’s mouthpiece Saamana, the party said if Pawar had criticised the demonetisation exercise from the same stage that he shared in Baramati with Modi, even the Sena would have hailed him.
