Mumbai man touches woman inappropriately at railway station, arrested

The government railway police (GRP) arrested a 32-year-old man for allegedly molesting a 33-year-old woman thrice at Andheri railway station on Saturday.

Around 9pm, when the woman was getting down the stairs of the bridge to reach platform no. 6, the man touched from behind, she claimed.
Even after the woman raised an objection, the man touched her twice, she alleged.
The woman raised an alarm, after which the passers-by nabbed him.
The arrested accused, Jigar Vora, a resident of Lalbaug, has been booked under section 354 A of the IPC, which amounts to sexual harassment punishable with one year imprisonment or with fine or both.
