56-year-old kills daughter-in-law, her mother in Mumbra, surrenders to cops
THANE: A 56-year-old Mumbra resident, Rashida Akbar Ali Wasani, was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly murdering her daughter-in-law and her mother.

THANE: A 56-year-old Mumbra resident, Rashida Akbar Ali Wasani, was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly murdering her daughter-in-law and her mother.
“Wasani sedated Salma, 24, and her mother Shamim Latif Sheikh, 54, and then slit their throats,” said RK Tayde, senior inspector, Mumbra police. “The accused walked into the police station and surrendered herself after confessing to the crime,” said a police officer. The police said Wasani took the extreme step because she thought her son only paid attention to his wife and ignored his duty towards his mother.
