MUMBAI: A man murdered his wife and then hanged himself after the two fought at their residence in Powai on Tuesday. Their relatives have told the police that Suresh Bije, 41, and his wife Preeti, 38, often fought over not being able to conceive a child. “Bije assaulted his wife with a hammer on her head and slit both her wrists using a sharp weapon. He then hanged himself,” said senior police inspector B Mahadeshwar.
