Five people, including two women, barged into the company and stole cash and jewellery worth Rs 6 crore on Saturday. The police are now interrogating five employees of the company and suspect their involvement in the crime. “We have not detained anyone so far. But we strongly believe that some insiders were involved,” said one senior police officer.

The gangs also broke the computers in the office and took away the hard disk of the CCTV cameras because they did not want to leave any clues, the police said.

“We are checking CCTV footage from different parts of the city. Their vehicle has been seen in some of the footage, but it is not clear which direction they fled. We have formed several teams to investigate this case and we are hopeful of making a breakthrough very soon,” the officer said. One police officer from NRI police station said, “We think the culprits were planning the robbery for a long time. Without help from the inside, it is impossible to commit such a crime. We may detain all five employees suspected to be involved.”
