High Court to hear on Kasab plea today

The Bombay High Court is likely to decide on Thursday who will open the case for confirmation of death sentence awarded to Pakistani terrorist Mohammed Ajmal Amir Kasab — the prosecution or the defence.

The Bombay High Court is likely to decide on Thursday who will open the case for confirmation of death sentence awarded to Pakistani terrorist Mohammed Ajmal Amir Kasab — the prosecution or the defence.

On Wednesday, Kasab urged the court to allow the prosecution in 26/11 trial to open the case for confirmation of death sentence awarded to him and opposing his appeal filed against the conviction.

The court said that it would hear appeal and the confirmation proceedings from October 18 on a day-to-day basis.
