Maharashtra fails to get Sachin as de- addiction ambassador

However, according to sources Tendulkar is ready to endorse the programme, but needs clarity on government agencies involved.

Tendulkar, a Congressnominated Rajya Sabha member, doesn’t want any compensation though.
“It’s a tricky issue,” said Moghe, but did not elaborate further.

Sindhutai Sapkal, a social worker, was appointed ambassador in the female category.
