Noise pollution norms to be relaxed for 3 days

Chief minister Prithviraj Chavan told the Ganesh mandals that noise pollution norms would be relaxed on the three days – the first day, the Gauri-Ganpati immersion day and the last day.

Chief minister Prithviraj Chavan told the Ganesh mandals that noise pollution norms would be relaxed on the three days – the first day, the Gauri-Ganpati immersion day and the last day.

On these days, the mandals could play sound systems till 12 mid night instead of 10pm.

The CM regretted not meeting the sarvajanik mandal coordination committee much earlier. Last week, the committee expressed its displeasure through media when Chavan did not interact with them a week ago.

The mandals wanted to talk out security measures, potholed roads and several other issues with Chavan.
