A man who allegedly stole valuables worth Rs2.4 lakh from a storehouse at Kazi Sayyad Street of Pydhonie was arrested by the police on Friday.

According to the police, Keshavlal Durgaji Purohit, a resident of Pydhonie, closed his storehouse around 7.30pm on Wednesday.
“When Purohit returned to his storehouse around 3.30pm on Thursday, he found that the lock was broken and his valuables were missing,” said A Patel, sub-inspector, Pydhonie police station.
The accused had escaped with 41 boxes containing mobile chargers worth Rs2,46,000.
Mohan Damodar Sharma, 40, a resident of Bhayander, was arrested by the Pydhonie police on Friday morning. The co-accused Manoj, is still on the run, the police said.
