Sunita Kolekar, who stays in a Mhada colony, had a fight with her husband Vitthal at around 12.30 am on Sunday. Kolekar then went into the kitchen and poured the kerosene in the gas stove over herself and set herself ablaze in front of Vitthal and her son. They managed to put out the flames. The couple's neighbours then rushed the three to Rajawadi hospital.

"Depressed by the constant fights with her husband, she tried to end her life," said Bajirao Bhosale, senior inspector, Powai police, adding that a case would be registered after getting Vitthal's statement.
