Two held for robbery in Kalbadevi shop
Two out of the four men who carried out an armed robbery of Rs40 lakh in November 2011 were arrested from Rajasthan. Four men had conducted the robbery in a shop belonging to a businessman at Kalbadevi.

The owner of the shop, however, did not report the matter to the police. The matter came to light only when the Rajasthan police arrested two of the accused in a separate case and informed their counterparts in Mumbai.
“We had no clue about the robbery as there was no such case registered with us. However, we then took the information of the shop owner and approached him,” said a police officer from LT Marg police station. The police then registered a case and sent a team to Rajasthan to bring the two accused to the city. “The men have been arrested on charges of robbery. They are currently in judicial custody,” said Avinash Sonavane, senior police inspector of LT Marg police station.
