Woman moves SC challenging triple talaq

NEW DELHI: A Kolkata-based woman has moved the SC challenging her husband’s move to divorce through triple talaq over an overseas phone call in April last year.

NEW DELHI: A Kolkata-based woman has moved the SC challenging her husband’s move to divorce through triple talaq over an overseas phone call in April last year. Ishrat Jahan said, in her case the Shariat law was being misused. She urged the court to hear her appeal with others who moved the court. A bench will hear the case on August 26.
