Greater Noida: Mega trade fair begins at expo mart

The 10-day fair will be held from August 4-15 at the expo centre. The event will be held in North India for the first time and it will be an opportunity for hundreds of potential investors, buyers and sellers to interact with each other.

On Thursday, a curtain raiser event was held, which was attended by representatives of GS Marketing Associates and India Expo Mart Limited (IEML), the two managing bodies of the fair.

Exhibitors from over 17 countries and 21 states of India will showcase their work under one roof at the India International Mega Trade Fair (IIMTF) in Greater Noida from Friday.

The 10-day fair will be held from August 4-15 at the expo centre. The event will be held in North India for the first time and it will be an opportunity for hundreds of potential investors, buyers and sellers to interact with each other.

On Thursday, a curtain raiser event was held, which was attended by representatives of GS Marketing Associates and India Expo Mart Limited (IEML), the two managing bodies of the fair.

“IIMTF is approved by ITPO (Ministry of Commerce, Government of India) and has got support of The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and is also supported by Make in India initiative,” said Rakesh Kumar, chairman, IEML.

Seventeen countries including Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Egypt, Turkey, Ghana, Indonesia, China, Pakistan, Bhutan, Vietnam, Afghanistan, USA, Korea and UAE will participate.

The prominent participating states are Gujarat, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Jharkhand, Odisha, West Bengal, Assam, Mizoram, Manipur, Karnataka, Kerela, Telangana, Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh.

“Over 1000+ exhibitors are showcasing their wide range of over two lakh products. The prime motto of IIMTF is to bring products from many countries and states under one roof, which is achieved with exemplary precision by offering broad plethora of products from all around the globe. The product range includes handicrafts, handlooms, textile, interior, furniture, real estate, electronic and lamps, appliances, food processing, etc,” said Kumar.

Tickets are available at the venue. Visitors can make use of shuttle services from the Botanical Garden metro station in Noida to the India Expo Mart at regular intervals during the fair period.
