Residents said they were amazed by the quick response to complaints made through the app. The sanitation department swiftly attended to complaints regarding garbage collection.

“When I downloaded the app, I never expected any response from the authority, but my complaint about waterlogging was redressed within a day,” said Shantanu Chug, a resident of Sector 27.

“The app, developed for Noida, is an example of engineering excellence in designing user interfaces. Simplicity and efficiency in delivering government services is its hallmark. Mobile app governance and Citizen Charter e-governance is reaching standards offered in the West,” said Satish Kumar, CEO of Suparna Systems, the company that developed the app.

The Noida authority said that the app will allow users to submit photographic evidence of issues like potholes, garbage, waterlogging etc. “It will save lot of paper and time. Earlier we had to run from pillar to post to register complaints. Pictorial proof along with the complaint made through the app makes it more efficient and transparent,” Vasundha Khanna, a resident of Sector 62, said.

Meanwhile, a staff member of the sanitation department said that senior officials were monitoring every complaint made on the app. When it was resolved, the complainant had to click a selfie on the spot and submit it through the app.

“The app makes us available to the residents in just a click. A technical team is working to launch it on other mobile platforms in a week,” said Salil Yadav, project engineer of the Noida authority.
