Photos: India’s Covid-19 recoveries cross 9.8 million

India recorded 16,432 new cases of the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases, according to Union health ministry update on December 29. With this, the nationwide tally reached 10,224,303. The number of active cases at the same time, has dropped to 2,68,581, according to health ministry’s update, while 98,07,569 patients have now been cured/discharged from hospitals after being infected with the virus. The country also recorded 252 new fatalities in the previous 24 hour period due to the infection, which took the overall death toll to 1,48,153.
