Photos: India’s Covid-19 recovery rate over 70%, cases nearly 2.4 million

India has reported a record 56,110 recoveries from the coronavirus (Covid-19) disease according to data for August 12 and 66,999 fresh cases in the same period. India’s current coronavirus tally stands at 2,396,637 cases with 1,695,982 recoveries and 47,033 deaths. The record number of recoveries has pushed the overall recovery rate past 70%. The health ministry has lauded its 'TEST, TRACK, TREAT' strategy for improving results in recoveries.
