Photos: Mumbai records second hottest December day in a decade

After recording the highest December day temperature over the past four years on December 5, weather conditions in Mumbai, helped by warm and dry easterly winds from central India, pushed temperatures on December 8 to 36.4 degrees Celsius, four degrees above normal and the second highest December day temperature in a decade. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the all-time highest December maximum temperature for Mumbai was recorded on December 4, 1987, at 39.8 degrees Celsius.
