Some of the oldest colleges in Mumbai boast of formidable architecture. And who better to capture the beauty than budding photographers on campus? St Xavier’s CollegeRecognised as a heritage structure, the college was established in 1869. This Indo-Gothic structure has also appeared in several films and advertisements.

Neil Athayde, an XIC student, talks about his experience of shooting on campus. “I can just sit in the quadrangle (left) and glance at the architecture for hours. The seemingly endless corridors, the quaintchapel (right), the bustling canteen and the winding staircase, which some now call the ‘Harry Potter staircase’, are some of my favourite spots to click on campus,” says Athayde.
