From reflecting on our expectations to expanding our social circle, here are a few ways to overcome loneliness.

With time and age, friendships can feel strained. This happens due to a range of reasons – however, the feeling of loneliness in friendships can feel very heavy. "Feeling lonely within friendships can happen for many reasons, and it’s not uncommon. Sometimes, the imbalance stems from a lack of shared interests, values, or communication styles. In other cases, it may be a result of changing circumstances, such as one friend experiencing personal growth while the other remains stagnant," wrote Therapist Israa Nasir.
