People in Russia gather on streets to watch Victory Day parades | In Photos

Every year on May 9, Russia commemorates the Soviet Union's victory over Germany's Nazi forces in World War II. To commemorate the occasion, the Russian military holds a parade in Moscow's Red Square and other cities. An elaborate ceremony is also held at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Moscow, a memorial to Soviet soldiers who died during the war.
