Rani Mukerji, Tanushree Dutta, Vatsal Sheth, Ishita Dutta, Rupali Ganguly bring colours to Sindoor Khela

Several Bollywood and TV celebrities took part in the Sindoor Khela celebrations on last day of Durga Puja. Among those who danced the most was Rani Mukerji.

Rani Mukerji was the happiest on last day of the Durga Puja and danced her heart out during the Sindoor Khela. Decked up in a beige and golden silk saree and wearing shakha pola, the actor had sindoor (vermillion) smeared on her as she took an active part in the celebrations.

Ishita Dutta was joined by sister Tanushree Dutta during the Sindoor Khela at North Bombay Durga Puja on Tuesday. Tanushree was in a white kurta-churidar, paired with a pink silk dupatta as she joined Ishita, who was in a white and red saree and gold earrings.

Tanushree Dutta also applied sindoor (colour) on brother-in-law Vatsal Sheth during the Sindoor Khela on Tuesday. Vatsal also applied colour on Sharbani Mukherjee during the function.

Ishita Dutta applied sindoor on husband Vatsal Sheth as well. Sharing a glimpse from the festival on Instagram, V"Sidoor Khela, a celebration of womanhood and unity, on this auspicious day of Vijaya Dashami seeking Durga Maa’s blessings and guidance."

Rani Mukerji was also joined by her sister-in-law Jyoti Mukerji and choreographer Vaibhavi Merchant at the Sindoor Khela on Tuesday. Vaibhavi applied colour on Rani during the festivities. Rani and Jyoti were also seen sharing a long hug while playing Sindoor Khela.

Rani Mukerji also played the gong bell while dancing to dhol beats during Sindoor Khela. She was seen in the film Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway this year, in which she played the role of a mother who goes on to fight to get back the custody of her kids from the government.

Filmmaker Anurag Basu took over the dhol and played with full enthusiam during the Sindoor Khela. He is currently working on his next film, Metro…In Dino, starring Sara Ali Khan, Aditya Roy Kapur, Fatima Sana Shaikh and others.

Like Rani Mukerji, Sumona Chakravarti of The Kapil Sharma Show fame was also part of the daily festivities at the North Bombay Durga Puja. She danced with other women during Sindoor Khela. Earlier, she had made headlines for her dhunuchi dance.

Rani Mukerji is seen worshipping the idol of Lord Ganesha during the Sindoor Khela, the last day of the Durga Puja celebrations. She applied sindoor on the dieties and performed other rituals during the function.
