Though Afghanistan were unable to build a big partnership, Gulbadin Naib's sturdy 57 off 35 balls laid the foundations for a competitive total. Once he fell to spinner Axar Patel (2-17) in the 12th over, Najibullah Zadran (23), Karim Janat (20) and Mujeeb Ur Rahman (21) maintained the momentum. (ANI)

Axar Patel was key to India restricting Afghanistan to a score of 172. On a placid pitch, Axar stifled Afghanistan for runs in the first 10 overs and returned figures of 2/17 in his four overs,  (PTI)

It was the Jaiswal-Dube show after that. The pair took Afghanistan to the cleaners and Jaiswal eventually crossed his half-century in 27 balls. He ended up scoring 68 in 34 balls as part of a 92-run stand with Dube off just 42 balls.  (AFP)

Rinku Singh (9 runs off 9 balls) added some finishing touches to the chase and India ended up winning the match by a six wickets with 26 balls to spare. They have thus confirmed victory in the three-match series, having taken a 2-0 lead.  (PTI)
