India sauntered to their first series win with Gautam Gambhir as head coach and Suryakumar Yadav as full-time T20I captain by beating Sri Lanka by seven wickets in the second of the three-match T20I series. Sri Lanka had set a target of 162 for India to chase and that had to be reduced to 78 in eight overs due to rain. India ended up blasting their way to the target in 6.3 overs.  (PTI)

The Indians were largely in control throughout the Sri Lankan innings and the hosts lost as many as seven wickets for just 30 runs in the last five overs. Ravi Bishnoi was the pick of the Indian bowlers with figures of 3/26, for which he won player of the match.  (AP)

India came out swinging upon resumption. Sanju Samson, who opened in place of the injured Shubman Gill, fell for a golden duck after which Suryakumar Yadav and Yashasvi Jaiswal ended any chances Sri Lanka may have seen of restricting the Indian batters. (AP)
