Photos: Europe retreats to lockdown as Covid-19 cases resurge

Europe is witnessing a surge in Covid-19 cases, forcing its countries to reinforce lockdowns as the continent collectively oversees 11.6 million infections and counting. France retreated to a second lockdown last week with Britain and now Greece following suit. Italy – facing protests over lockdown restrictions from already battered business owners and other economic stake holders, has opted for a flexible curfew like Germany, to fight the virus.
